fare thee well Idaho!

WOW!
We had such a wonderful time between Driggs and Wyoming that we stalled out a while to hang w friends have some nice outdoor grill dinners and do some whitewater rafting on the Snake River! We went to a bluegrass festival the first night in town even though we were tire from our 30+miles of hiking thru Glacier and the huge blisters on my heels.
We drove to Yellowstone sunday and even got a campsite so we stayed the night to find more wildlife in the morning- (we were a little disappointed: somehow we must have missed the animals) but we saw alien like landscape of Earth before people with the funaroles, mudpots, hot springs and geysers that decorated the caldera of Yellostone. On our way out toward Jackson we drove through Grand Teton NF and were lucky enough to see 2 beaver swimming in lake Jackson then we had elk jump across the road AND we were able to see a pronghorn antelope which Sean was hoping for. We saw buffalo literally frolicking, running through the grass and watched 2 bulls butting heads. Quite a scene! We were very tired as it was almost 930pm still kind of dusky so we moved on to a great restaurant recommended by Marvin: rendezvous bistro- fabulous platinum meal- including oysters from WA and CA as well as striped bass and a venison filet! We were thoroughly full on both food and scenery and drove teton pass w heavy eyes but got through it. Those of you that know it, you know how tough that road is withs its sharp curve and steep grade (10%). We did so much more to be shared in our next entry but for now we had to say goodbye to Idaho and its Great Tetons and are heading to Salt Lake and Park City! We are being hosted by a couple we met thru Marvin (but of course) and are both sad and excited to get back on the road. I tell ya Driggs is special- I could call it home very easily! Getting closer to OBX! See y’all soon!

Sounds terrific. You got to see a lot in a short time. yI’sure you are excited by all the wildlife and scenery. Be safe driving and enjoy yourself around Salt Lake City and Park City and environs. Will you go to Pikes Peak and swim in the Great Salt Lake? IO’m sure everything looks different in the summer.
